Eilish McCarthy

Eilish is a Galway based actor and drama teacher from Tipperary. She began her training with Leinster School of Music and Drama at a young age and since then has studied Theatre and Performance in NUIG, and acting with Galway Youth Theatre.

She is a member of Fregoli Theatre Company with whom she performs and tours regularly, and has toured nationally with Decadent Theatre Company. She has performed with RTE Radio Drama and Druid Theatre Company. She is a writer and divisor with ThereIsBear Theatre Company, a performer with Anam Theatre Company and most recently has performed as part of Galway Theatre Festival, Cuirt Literary Festival and in Town Hall Productions Playboy of the Western World and Fregoli’s You Could Be Us.

Eilish is a passionate drama teacher and facilitator with wide ranging experience. She has toured internationally with Emerald Isle Theatre Company, giving workshops and performing with students and is currently teaching performance with Galway Youth Theatre, with whom she assistant directed (as well as creating the soundtrack for) Juno And The Paycock this year, in the Town Hall Theatre Galway. This summer, Eilish had the invigorating experience of directing Matilda the Musical for StageSchool Ireland’s junior summer camp. Eilish is delighted to be involved with StageSchool Ireland and looks forward to a fun and exciting term!
