Eriko Hopkinson, Singing Tutor

Eriko has been teaching singing in various genres including classical, musical theatre, popular and world music.

She studied classical singing and music education at University of Ryukyus in Japan. Following her training, Eriko studied Jazz and musical singing, drama, dance at Theatre Shiki acting institute in Tokyo, Japan.

She is the director/conductor of Westport Children’s Choir and Westport Youth Choir in Co. Mayo and the choirs have travelled and performed in many countries including the US.

In April 2023, Eriko travelled with her Youth choir to New York to sing at Carnegie Hall for “Total Vocal” concert directed by Deke Sharon. She is passionate about teaching music/singing and loves working with the wonderfu students and colleagues at our Westport centre.
