Sohyun Kim, Junior Stage Dublin

Sohyun is from South Korea and we are thrilled she has joined our teaching team this year. A versatile performing artist, actively engaged in the fields of dance, acting, directing, and choreography since 2016, 

Kimso graduated from Korea National University of Arts where she studied directing and choreography.

She was honoured to receive the Grand Prize at the Four Swans Festival of Seoul Dance Festival, where Kimso performed as a dancer and co-choreographer at the Arko Grand Art Theater in Seoul.  Her work "KkaengPan _ Rebellion of Rascals" has been invited to perform at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics IOC Invitation Performance and the Jeju Hae-Beach Festival in South Korea, both of which she directed.

Kimso has gained extensive professional experience in over 22 productions across various genres including drama, dance, musicals, and film, working as a director, stage manager, and assistant director, as well as in over 13 productions as a performer and choreographer.
