Clapperboard Junior Film School runs exciting weekend workshops in all StageSchool Ireland centres, Easter and Summer camps. We are proud to provide young filmmakers, ages 11 to 19, with a unique, holistic foundation in the art of cinema.

Incorporating both theory and practice, our courses teach students how to operate equipment and work on a set while providing a clear understanding of the fundamentals of how the art of cinema works. AND IT’S TREMENDOUS FUN!

At the end of our courses, students will have written, filmed and edited a high-quality short film which they will get to keep after the course.

This is the ultimate course for teens considering film-making at third level and for more intensive and advanced summer training, see our summer camp page where we offer residential one week and two week FILM CREW AND AND DRAMA CREW courses in Ireland’s leading boarding school, Clongowes Wood College, KIldare! Our award winning teaching team include a number of industry leading figures and we also offer beginner “Acting For The Screen” programmes and guest masterclasses for 11 to 19 year olds.
