Renowned Teacher & Performer joins StageSchool

Born in Bridgetown, Barbados, Justine completed her professional dance training at Central in London and has been based in Dublin since 1997.

With a diverse career spanning 25 years she has worked extensively with Irish Modern Dance Theatre / Fabrice Dugied, France / Sean Curran, USA / Sara Rudner, USA; Liz Roche Company formerly Rex Levitates / Jodi Melnick, USA; Channel 4’s Ballet Boyz, UK / Charles Linehan, UK; CoisCéim Dance Theatre; Dance Theatre of Ireland / The Carnet Bagouet, Dominique Bagouet, France; Charleroi Danses, Belgium / Merce Cunnigham, USA / Paul Taylor Dance Company, USA / Karole Armitage, USA / Lucinda Childs, USA / Joachim Schlommer, Germany.

Theatre and Opera credits include The Abbey Theatre’s “Tarry Flynn” (incl Royal National Theatre, London) and “The Tempest”, Landmark Productions “The Secret Garden”, Opera Ireland’s “Macbeth”, “Aida”and “The Silver Tassie” at the Gaiety Theatre.

Recent work includes choreography for “Elvis is My Daddy” (Olympia Theatre, Everyman Theatre, Cork), “Dusk” (New Theatre), “Heresy” (Project Arts Centre) and The Corona’s “We Couldn’t Fake It” music video.

Justine has considerable experience teaching a selection of dance disciplines to all ages and abilities and has been a resident dance artist in various schools for Local Authorities. She is currently enjoying teaching and choreographing for Dublin Youth Dance Company and is delighted to be joining the Stage School Ireland Team.
