We are excited to invite you to join us for the Footloose Youth Edition summer camp! This is an amazing opportunity for you to learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun!
Footloose Youth Edition is a one-hour version of the explosive musical specially designed for young performers and offers a full, page to stage experience, in a residential week of summer! This intensive immersion in musical theatre helps build self esteem, develop new skills and enhance performance.
You will be working with our leading industry team who will help you develop your acting, voice, movement, singing and dance skills in a safe space. And you will also have the chance to participate in evening entertainment and guest workshops that will make your experience even more memorable!
On the final day of the summer camp, students perform a full show with professional technicians, lighting and sound to a live audience at the nearby Moat Theatre. This experience in seven days can be life changing for many young performers! Early booking is highly recommended!

For 12 to 18 year olds who love film making or acting! The ultimate residential course with a comprehensive 7 day or a 2 week option in Filmmaking or Drama and Acting For The Screen with Clapperboard Junior Film School.
Our 2024 residential camps are now open for booking! Enjoy a cinematic summer like no other! We create four original short films plus three edited commercials and professionally edited acting scenes. Choose Film or Acting For The Screen for duration of course or both electives if you prefer. With industry leading tutors, immerse yourself in intensive drama classes or relish our “geography of cinematography” in a course for young actors, writers and film makers. No experience necessary but enthusiasm is essential.

Educationally enriching and creative courses with Clapperboard Junior Film School. Situated at this magnificent location (amid 500 acres of stunning wooded Irish countryside) Learn to edit footage, shoot movies, use equipment, acting for screen techniques. script writing and much more. Our teaching and lecturer team are some of the best in this industry and early booking is advised.
Filmmaking and Acting For The Screen Residential Camp divide into 2 classes for the entire duration of the course. CLAPPERBOARD FILM CREW (for aspiring filmmakers) & TEENAGE STAGE DRAMA CREW (for young actors). Students choose which team they wish to join for duration of course at booking stage.
Each group develops individual and team skills in their own disciplines though practical training, skills, workshops and masterclasses with film industry and acting professionals. And because the best way to learn is to be taught to safely use equipment as quickly as possible and start shooting, this is what we do!
At the end of the course, Our finale culminates in an exclusive Family Screening!! with completed movie and behind the scenes footage telling the story of how that movies got made, plus our special Q and A session for parents with the cast and crew.
And when students aren’t on set, indoor and outdoor activities on offer include table tennis, basketball, chess, scrabble, draughts, educational world cinema nights, talent shows with comedy evenings and entertaining film history lectures!
